ASASA, SCHOLARSHIP AND AWARD PROGRAMS PRIORITIES FOR/ 2020 FUNDING REQUIREMENTS
Our main goal in 2020 is to raise the sum of $145,000 to fund 50 scholarships at $2500, yearly per scholarship for $125,000; and the balance of $20,000 to pay for computers, copy machines and trophies/certificates for the career award program. We have received commitments in the form of pledges and in-kind contributions valued at $12,000. Also, we are exploring other options to raise the other $133,000 needed. To raise the balance, we are seeking sponsors with various levels of involvement including:
Patron: $5,000 and above
Platinum: $3,000 and above
Gold: $1,000 and above
Sliver: $500 and above
Bronze: 300 and above
Friend: 50 and above
As recognition for their support, the names of grand patrons, platinum and gold donors will be included in all ASASA International publications and news media materials relating to the Scholarship and Award Programs. All donors for federal income tax purposes will receive Donation Receipt which will bear ASASA International Federal Tax ID number and other related information.
OTHER ASASA INTERNATIONAL PRIORITIES FOR 2020 INCLUDE:
- To increase the number of volunteer workforce, particularly those with experience in online educational and career advising
- To seek and obtain nonfinancial assets such as used/old desk computers and lab tops, overhead projectors and other classroom equipment for donation to public primary and secondary schools.
- To plan, develop and provide online educational and career advising service to tenth graders through college/university graduates residing in Austin and San Antonio, Texas.
