New Program Announcement Addressed to High School Counselors in San Antonio, Texas

Dear Counselor,

This is to introduce you and your institution to ASASA International, a 501 ( c) (3) tax exempt organization, whose purpose is educational and charitable among other. In pursuant of the organization’s educational purpose , ASASA International will offer Scholarship and Award Programs, designed to provide supplementary financial assistance to high school graduates from low income families, using the United States Department of Education Guideline, that are college or university bound, and residing in Austin and San Antonio, Texas.

The Program Descriptions are:

Yearly, ASASA International will conduct Scholarship and Award Day to honor our high school graduates from low income families residing in Austin-San Antonio, Texas, that are college or university bound. Also, to recognize former college or university graduates from low income families that have excelled in their careers in the U.S. For the Scholarship Program, selection of recipients for financial assistance will be based solely on grade point average (GPA), Income level and recommendation of high school counselor (s)

The eligibility requirements for participation in ASASA International’s Scholarship Program will include the following:

  1. Must be a citizen or eligible noncitizen of the United States of America.
  2. Have a valid Social Security Number.
  3. Have a high School diploma or a general education development (GED) certificate.
  4. Have obtained admission in a U.S. accredited college or university.
  5. Maintain satisfactory academic progress as demonstrated by the applicant high school transcript.
  6. Not have a conviction for possession or sale of illegal drugs.
  7. Submit letter or recommendation from high school counselor.
  8. Proof of family income
  9. Submit a completed Application Form To:
